Fantastic eve a few days back when Dirty Opera screened the Dimitri Coat’s film Free LSD in Claremont, California. The sold out screening at The Laemmle 5 had a panel featuring the band, actors & crew members from the film. Here is a pic by Bamboo Dart Press author Stevo Lution (his forthcoming collaborative book with Brutus Chieftain The Gospel According to Bombastus is out September 12th) of Germs drummer Don Bolles w/ Keith Morris who were in attendance with the entire band plus almost every actor in the film and crew members. Hell, Dana Gould, who is in the film, hosted the panel. We will be announcing our next event shortly, it is a real mutha’ trick.
I know this website might confuse some, you know, it is for Shrimper records, but I highlight the other two projects I am involved with regularly here as you have noticed. Bamboo Dart Press is a small book company that the legendary Mark Givens of Wckr Spgt and a myriad of other projects started with me five years ago. We have issued sixty incredible books of all walks since then and have more than a dozen on tap for next year. Dirty Opera is a production company that my dear pals Eddie Gonzalez and Dimitri Coats started with me this year to bring top tier events to the Inland Empire without any corporate ties or monolithic promoters. We have a number of incredible screenings lined up through this year and some wonderful music events coming. Confusion is next.
