Richard Brown Lethem has, at 90, put together a book that acts as a survey and a reflecting pool of his life’s work thus far. The book Roots, Stones and Baggage features a wide swath of his poems and paintings spanning from 1952 to 2023. His paintings have traversed the world for installations and he continues to create output at a breakneck speed. This book is the first collection to feature his poetry and includes full color reproductions of some of a baker’s dozen of his paintings that span his life, allowing the reader to follow the arc of this talented writer and artist as he continues to push and grow.
